In 2013, JSS achieved the latest record of program attendance. The total number of program participants was 3,247, which was the highest number for past 6 years.
I’d like to thank JSS for providing valuable space for me in this issue to introduce “Health Handbook,” translated by the medical team at the Embassy.
Many of us are bewildered by the Canadian healthcare system, which is different from the one in Japan. In this article, I would like to summarize the general healthcare system in Canada, and introduce you to Community Health Centres in Ontario.
The 8-week parenting program, “Nobody’s Perfect” (NP), had its first session on April 26, 2014, in cooperation with Toronto Public Health (TPH) and supported by Ikebata Nursery (which has generously provided its premises).
Twelve years have passed since I started to teach Nia-dance exercises at JCCC. I am so happy with the fact that my having continued my classes this long shows that there are people who deem it necessary.
You could say that after more than 40 years in Canada two-thirds of my body has been sustained by Canadian food. Until now, my family and I have been free of any serious illnesses and have led an active, healthy life.
