I am\u00a0Yoshi Ichida from Kyoto, appointed as Director of JSS\u00a0in\u00a0May,\u00a02021.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My expertise\u00a0is\u00a0in\u00a0trade and Investment, as an Independent Consultant, working\u00a0with\u00a0Victor Company of Japan Co. Ltd. Canada,\u00a0the\u00a0Japan External Trade Organization Toronto, etc.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was also a Leader of the Japanese Martial Arts Club at\u00a0the\u00a0JCCC, a Director of the JCCC and\u00a0a volunteer\u00a0Advisor of the\u00a0Shinkikai\u00a0for many years.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a longstanding member of JSS, I would like to serve the community by contributing my work and continuing\u00a0to learn while working with everyone. Thank you very much for your support and encouragement.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My name is Larry\u00a0Iwamoto.\u202f I am a\u00a0semi retired\u00a0sansei and an accountant who had been employed in the hydro utility industry for over 30 years.\u202f As I transition into my \u201cgolden\u00a0years\u201d\u202f I\u00a0have felt a greater passion to support and serve others and in particular the Japanese community.\u202f Over several decades I have always had a connection with the Japanese in the GTA and in Canada through my service as past Treasurer of the Japanese Gospel Church of Toronto and Canadian Japanese Ministries. \u202fThe COVID pandemic has created enormous challenges for families and individuals and has allowed many of us to pause and acknowledge the need to enrich lives and deepen relationships. \u202f\u202fWe can play a meaningful role in making that happen by reaching out to those in need.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I feel privileged and honoured to have this opportunity to work alongside the JSS Board members and\u00a0staff \u202fin\u00a0humbly offering whatever knowledge, skills and wisdom I have \u202fto support the Japanese community.\u00a0<\/span>Yoroshiku\u202fonegaishimasu.<\/span>\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
