1-hour online session (Zoom) to learn about Powers of Attorney and Will from Nozomi (Zoe) Smith, an estate lawyer practicing in Ontario, will be co-provided by\u00a0Momiji Health Care Society<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Japanese Social Services<\/a> (JSS), in Japanese.<\/p>\n

What is this session about?<\/h2>\n

Do you have anyone who will speak for you if you can no longer make your own financial or personal care decisions? What are your wishes after you pass away? In Ontario, there are legal documents you should have in place to prepare for your \u201cwhat ifs\u201d \u2013 Wills and Powers of Attorney. Let\u2019s learn about those important documents to ensure your peace of mind. You will also be able to learn about the changes that are made to the estate law (i.e. will, inheritance) from 2021 through 2022.<\/p>\n

Anyone interested can attend but pre-registration is required. Click the registration button below, and fill and submit it two days before the session date (Mon, Feb 21). If you have difficulty using the online registration system, feel free to contact the hosting agency.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Your Zoom display name should be recognizable to the host<\/h4>\n

Upon joining, please display your name on Zoom in ways we recognize that you registered. For example, instead of using nicknames or initials, include your first and\/or last (e.g. Hanako Y, H. Yamada, Hanako Yamada) . We may not be able to allow you to enter for security purposes if we can\u2019t recognize your name.<\/p>\n
