1.5-hour online session (Zoom)\u00a0 to learn about Parkinson’s Disease will be co-provided by Momiji Health Care Society<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Japanese Social Services<\/a> (JSS), joined by\u00a0Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care.<\/a><\/p>\n

What is this session about?<\/h2>\n

Parkinson\u2019s disease is a complex, neurological disorder. Just as each finger print is unique to an individual, so is the experience for those living with Parkinson\u2019s. The need to address your patient\u2019s specific needs and allow them, with their care partners, to participate in the choices about their own care is essential to ensuring the best quality of life.<\/p>\n

In this presentation, we will summarize the main characteristics of Parkinson\u2019s disease and options for treatment; identify the motor, and non-motor signs & symptoms of Parkinson\u2019s disease; understand some of the treatment options and the side-effects of medications; and talk about the importance of strict dosing schedules.<\/p>\n
