Whether you are the caregiver or the one being given care for, knowing that these benefits are available and understanding what they can do for you or a loved one give you one less thing to worry about during those trying times.<\/p>\n<p>This session is co-presented by Service Canada and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employment Insurance &#8211; Caregiver Benefits- when you need to stop work to care for yourself or a loved one.\n<ul>\n<li>Sickness Benefits<\/li>\n<li>Compassionate Care Benefits<\/li>\n<li>Caregiver Benefits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Disability Tax Credit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About our Guest Speaker<\/h2>\n<h4>Guest Speaker 1 : Christina Karagianis (Citizen Services Specialist, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/corporate\/portfolio\/service-canada.html\">Service Canada<\/a>)<\/h4>\n<p>Christina K. is a Citizen Service Specialist with the Toronto Community Outreach Team for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/corporate\/portfolio\/service-canada.html\">Service Canada<\/a>. Christina has over eight years of experience working with the federal government providing services to citizens. Christina\u2019s role as a Citizen Services officer in the Service Canada Centre where she provided direct service to clients led her to her current role as a Citizen Services Specialist. As a Citizen Services Specialist, Christina works to bring information about Service Canada programs and benefits to community organization and the citizens that they serve.<\/p>\n<h4>Guest Speaker 2: Munishi Desai (Canada Revenue Agency)<\/h4>\n<h2>How to Attend<\/h2>\n<p>Anyone interested can attend but pre-registration required. Click the registration button below, and fill and submit it by two days before the session date (Mon, Apr 8). Make sure to type correct email of yours.\u00a0<strong>If you don\u2019t see it, check your junk folder first<\/strong>, then contact JSS \/ Momiji.<\/p>\n<h4>2.\u00a0Your Zoom display name should be recognizable to the host<\/h4>\n<p>Upon joining, please display your name on Zoom in ways we recognize that you registered. For example, instead of using nicknames or initials, include your first and\/or last (e.g. Hanako Y, H. Yamada, Hanako Yamada) . We may not be able to allow you to enter for security purposes if we can\u2019t recognize your name.
