What is this session about?<\/h2>\n

\"\"Hospice palliative care is an end-of-life specialized care, focuses on quality of life and supports for individuals living with a life-limiting illness that is usually at an advanced stage.<\/p>\n

In this session an overview of Hospice Palliative Care will be presented as below, to inform and support people and their families who might need the services offered.<\/p>\n

  1. What is Hospice Palliative Care?<\/li>\n
  2. What programs and supports are available to those within Hospice care?<\/li>\n
  3. Recognize the emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, and physical aspects of living, dying., and grieving a death from a progressive life-limiting illness.<\/li>\n
  4. Examine the effects of a life-limiting illness on caregivers and family.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Let us think about the choices we may have, by learning about Hospice Palliative Care, for you and your loved ones.<\/p>\n

    \"\"Guest Speaker: Rami Shami<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Rami has been serving within Hospice Palliative Care for over three decades. He feels privileged to practice as a Consultant in Hospice Palliative Care, as well as Case Manager for the Second Mile Club at Kensington Health, and the Community Relations Advisor for Lighthouse for Grieving Children. While harvesting a conviction that everyone should have access to quality Hospice Palliative Care, Rami strongly advocates and supports the development and growth of programs and services for those travelling the journey of a life-limiting illness, their caregivers, and those who are bereaved.<\/p>\n

    Anyone interested can attend but pre-registration required. Click the registration button below, and fill and submit it by two days before the session date (Mon, Apr 22). If you have difficulty using online registration system, feel free to contact the hosting agency.<\/p>\n
