The first session of July of our e-Learning seminar series hosted by Momiji Health Care Society<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Japanese Social Services<\/a>\u00a0(JSS), joined by\u00a0Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care\u00a0<\/a>to learn about what happens after a loved one dies.\u3000*Held in English with Japanese Interpretation<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is this session about?<\/h2>\n

\"\"There are over 70 decisions to be made once a person we love has died. These decisions include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Will\u00a0it be a burial or cremation?<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Is there a will?\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Will there be a funeral or a celebration of life?<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. What happens if we don’t have money for a funeral?\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. How do we access grief support?\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    And so many more. In this session we will provide an overview of arranging funerals, visitations, celebrations of life, wills, etc. We will also discuss why it is important to pre-plan a funeral to avoid having to making all these decisions when we are experiencing the grief of losing a loved one. Join us for an engaging session where you can also bring your questions and concerns!<\/p>\n

    Rami has been serving within Hospice Palliative Care for over three decades. He feels privileged to practice as a Consultant in Hospice Palliative Care, as well as Case Manager for the Second Mile Club at Kensington Health, and the Community Relations Advisor for Lighthouse for Grieving Children. While harvesting a conviction that everyone should have access to quality Hospice Palliative Care, Rami strongly advocates and supports the development and growth of programs and services for those travelling the journey of a life-limiting illness, their caregivers, and those who are bereaved.<\/p>\n
