Sam began her career working for Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County where she was responsible for fundraising as well as counselling family members. She\u2019s also worked for Alzheimer Society of Peel in their Adult Day Programs for more than 3 years before moving onto a supervisor role in Retirement in an Eden Alternative certified home. Most recently she worked as a Behavioural Supports Manager in Long Term Care home in the Mississauga Halton LHIN educating staff on dementia and responsive behaviours. In her current role, she delivers education sessions to increase public awareness on Alzheimer\u2019s disease and other related dementias and provides dementia care training to health care professionals.<\/p>\n<h4>What is Alzheimer Society Toronto?<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19497 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/jss.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/alzheimer_society.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"81\" \/><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alz.to\/\">The Alzheimer Society of Toronto<\/a> is a registered charity whose mission is to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer\u2019s disease and other dementias and to promote research. The society does this by providing information, education and support to the general public, people living with dementia and their caregivers and health care professionals.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Attend<\/h2>\n<p>Anyone interested can attend but pre-registration required. Click the registration button below, and fill and submit it by two days before the session date (Mon, Sep 9). For example, instead of using nicknames or initials, include your first and\/or last (e.g. Hanako Y, H. Yamada, Hanako Yamada) . We may not be able to allow you to enter for security purposes if we can\u2019t recognize your name.
