On Sunday, November 10, 2024, we held the 3rd June Yamamoto Memorial Walk. This event was established in 2021 to honor the memory of former JSS board member and first fundraising chair, June Yamamoto, who continued to support JSS in many ways even after stepping down.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the rain, the event was successfully held with everyone\u2019s support. A record-high 39 participants, including Soichiro (Sam) Yamamoto and Consul General Matsunaga, walked and ran a total of 192.5 km. Donations exceeded the $5,000 goal, reaching an impressive $13,921. We extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Sam Yamamoto for his generous $10,000 contribution.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you all for your warm support. We will continue to honor June Yamamoto\u2019s legacy and work for the Japanese-Canadian community.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
