The concept is based on scientific evidence that both genuine laughter and self-simulated laughter are beneficial to the body.

Laughter decreases the release of stress hormones (cortisol), and it triggers the release of happy hormones (endorphins) which promote an overall sense of well-being.

It’s not an exercise on a yoga mat. You don’t need any equipment, but you may need to sip water. Please have your water bottle with you. Let’s laugh together!

*This seminar involves active participation in the exercises, so we kindly ask that you turn on your camera and microphone whenever you can.

About our Guest Speaker

Presenter: Maiko Taku （RSW, Mental Health Counsellor ）

Maiko Taku is a Registered Social Worker in Ontario and also a certified Laughter Yoga Leader.
As a Mental Health Counsellor at TNO, Maiko provides not only talk therapy but also a variety of approaches to promote mental health and well-being in the community.

Organization: TNO- The Neighbourhood Organization

TNO- The Neighbourhood Organization is a community-based, multi-service agency providing a wide range of community services since 1985.
TNO launched its Mental Health Support Services in 2021, and we have been offering free counselling and case management services to residents of all-ages in Ontario.

How to Attend

Anyone interested can attend but pre-registration required.
