Mark your calendar for Sunday, June 7, 2026!<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 6th Annual JSS Challenge Walkathon will take place at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Toronto, and we are hoping for beautiful sunshine, great energy, and a strong community spirit as we come together to walk, run, reconnect, and give back.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since its launch in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the JSS Challenge has grown into a meaningful annual tradition centered on health, friendship, and community support. This year, our goal is to raise $5,000 and collectively complete\u00a0100 km\u00a0to help sustain the important work of Japanese Social Services and its vital programs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Every step you take helps JSS continue providing essential counseling, social support, and community services to those who need it most.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the walk, participants will enjoy a warm community lunch gathering at the JCCC, a chance to share stories, laughter, and strengthen the bonds that make our community so special.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether you walk, run, cheer, donate, or simply help spread the word, you are making a difference.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s\u00a0make this year bigger, louder, and stronger than ever!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Schedule for the day:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

10:30 AM – 10:45 AM<\/p>\n

Group walk participants gather at JCCC\u00a0Hosaki\u00a0Room for registration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

10:45 AM – 11:45 AM<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1-hour group walk.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Route: Starting from JCCC, including the East Don River Trail for a 1-hour route. There are some gentle slopes along the way. We plan to adjust the walking speed according to the abilities of the participants.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Virtual participants, please walk for 1 hour each and\u00a0report to\u00a0us the distance walked.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
