First July session of our e-Learning series, co-hosted by Momiji Health Care Society,<\/a>\u00a0Japanese Social Services (JSS)<\/a>, and\u00a0Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care\u00a0<\/a> will learn how to stay healthy during the summer heat.<\/p>\n

What is this session about?<\/h2>\n

\"\"Join us to learn important tips and knowledge for staying safe and well in the heat.<\/p>\n

As we age, our bodies become less efficient at regulating temperature and retaining hydration.<\/p>\n

This workshop is designed for older adults to learn about practical strategies for preventing heat related illnesses.<\/p>\n

The information shared can help you enjoy the summer months more safely and confidently.<\/p>\n

About our Guest Speaker<\/h2>\n

\"\"Presenter: Peter Lam\u3000(Experienced First aid Instructor)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Peter Lam is an experienced first aid and emergency response educator since 1973 in Canada and Hong Kong. He served as first aid and basic life support instructor with organizations including the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. John Ambulance Canada, and St. John Hong Kong etc. Peter has dedicated his career to training and mentoring community members in lifesaving skills.<\/p>\n

Anyone interested can attend but pre-registration required. Click the registration button below, and fill and submit it before the session date. If you have difficulty using online registration system, feel free to contact the hosting agency.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Your Zoom display name should be recognizable to the host<\/h4>\n

Upon joining, please display your name on Zoom in ways we recognize that you registered. For example, instead of using nicknames or initials, include your first and\/or last (e.g. Hanako Y, H. Yamada, Hanako Yamada) . We may not be able to allow you to enter for security purposes if we can\u2019t recognize your name. We\u2019ll show you how to change the display name 5 minutes before the session start.<\/p>\n
