This month of our e-Learning seminar series hosted by Momiji Health Care Society and Japanese Social Services (JSS) is to learn how Yakuzen can help us stay well and energized this summer. *Held in Japanese and English
What is this session about?
Yakuzen refers to a type of customized cooking based on the principles of Eastern medicine, where meals are made to suit the seasons, one’s health, and individual constitution.
Following last year’s autumn edition, we will introduce summer health practices based on Eastern medicine and the concept of Yakuzen. Without using special medicinal herbs, we will explore how to prevent and manage summer heat, summer colds, heatstroke, air conditioning sickness, summer fatigue, and loss of appetite by using easily available vegetables and medicinal ingredients from the grocery store.
- What is Yakuzen? (Including a brief review from the previous session)
