What is this session about?

Did you know that in Canada, falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalizations and injury deaths among people aged 65 or older? Statistics show that seniors are at greater risk for injury due to falls, which is why understanding how we can prevent falls is very important!

Please join us on January 10, 2024 for our Falls Prevention webinar by the Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities (SCHC) to discuss the following:

  • What can contribute to falls and why
  • Risk factors for falls amongst seniors
  • The link between Osteoporosis and falls
  • What you can do to prevent falls
  • A step-by-step guide on what to do if you fall
