I seem to open every President’s Message with a line about how busy we are at JSS. But nonetheless it is true and it must be acknowledged.
It has been an incredibly busy time here over the fall and it’s not even winter yet when we begin preparing the Holiday Drive boxes. For the organization this has been a particularly challenging time.
It is hard to believe that we are starting a new year here at JSS and that I will have completed my first year as president of the organization. The last year was a challenging one for us all here.
It was a busy holiday season at JSS. In the spirit of Christmas and New Years it is a time also for us to give thanks to all of our donors and supporters as well as others who might only be interested in what we do.
The GTA’s Japanese speaking community in a manner of speaking is not so different from any other. All of us go through hardship and as much as we like to think of ourselves as self-sufficient some of us need a little help to get through.
